(1) Part-Time Recreation Worker I ( Outdoor Recreation)

SUMMARYProvides support for all public recreation programs for the City, under policies established by the Parks &Recreation Director by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reportingrelationships, work assignments, and work schedules may be subject to change in order to meet Cityneeds or operational requirements. Attendance at work and the ability to get along with the public,supervisors, and co-workers are essential elements of this position. Other duties may be assigned.Assists Recreation Supervisors in developing and promoting city-sponsored recreation programs to thepublic.Supports the Recreation Supervisor in ensuring city-sponsored recreation programs meet the needs ofcitizens, groups, teams, and individuals.Provides physical and clerical support for new recreation programs, activities, equipment, and materials torecreation department management, staff, and the public.Supports, performs, and coordinates sign-up activities for city-sponsored recreation programs.Sign in participants, collect fees, accounts for monies collected, and supervises activities for citysponsored recreation programs.Accounts for and performs basic maintenance on recreation equipment and facilities.Monitor recreation activities for safety and compliance with activity and facility rules. Reports violationsto Recreation Supervisors or other proper authorities.Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, and other recreational equipment requirement.Performs basic clean-up activities associated with recreational activities and facilities.Assists the public in gaining access to city-sponsored recreation programs, facilities, and equipment.Performs a wide variety of other support duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.
