The System Planning Engineer will need a Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program with experience in electric utility design and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nAs a McCall-Thomas System Planning Engineer, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients.\n\nThe primary responsibilities for this role will include:\n\nDistribution System Planning, Construction Work Plans, Long Range Plans, RUS Standards, Electrical design, System Impact Studies, Coordination Studies, Arc Flash analysis, and other distribution design requirements for electric utilities\nConstruction Work Planning and Long Range Planning requirements, codes and procedures\nWorking with the Electrical Division staff members and Marketing to expand client base and obtain additional projects\nResponsibility for the accuracy, completeness and profitability of projects you are overseeing\nOral presentations as required\nAssisting with proposals, project estimates and scheduling as required\nLoad Forecasts\nTravel and overnight stay will be a requirement for certain projects or marketing visits with clients\n\nMinimum Qualifications (Required):\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program\nExperience in electric utility design\nVersatility and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously\nIn-depth knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and Rural Utilities Services (RUS) Standards\nWillingness and ability to share your knowledge with others\nAbility to work on a team or independently\nWillingness and ability to communicate with others in person and remotely using phone, video meetings, email and texts\n\nQualifications (Preferred):\nExperience with Milsoft and Light Table Engineering Modules\nKnowledge of various codes and IEEE standards\nAbility to accurately complete start to finish construction work plans and long range plans in an efficient manner while remaining within budget and time constraints, and meeting the high quality expected from McCall-Thomas Engineering\nLicensed Professional Engineer in SC or another state with reciprocity\nExisting relationships with electric utilities within South Carolina, North Carolina or Georgia\n\nWhat We Offer:\nAt McCall-Thomas, we offer employees the chance to work with great people on exciting projects, with opportunity for growth.
