Serves as the main resources for question and program guidance in the absence of the Director.\r\nResponsible for the care and well-being of program participants\r\nIdentifies and meets individual program participant needs\r\nProvides friendly hospitality to those we serve\r\nRecognizes and provide opportunities for group interaction, problem solving, and decision making\r\nGuides group or individuals in activity plans\r\nCarries out established roles in enforcing facility safety regulations and implementing emergency procedures\r\nCleans tables and vacuum carpets where necessary\r\nServes breakfast, lunch, and snacks as needed\r\nPerform other duties as assigned\r\nQualifications\r\nEducation/Experience:\r\nMinimum of High School diploma/GED desired, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities\r\nTraining and/or education experience in youth programming, ministry and/or social services preferred\r\nTraining and/or education experience in food and /or food service operations preferred\r\nSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:\r\nComputer Skills\r\nBasic computer skills\r\nCertificates and Licenses\r\nHave and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) (preferred)\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and Blood Pathogen\r\nComplete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed\r\nAdditional Information\r\nPart Time (20 hours per week)\r\nThe Salvation Army offers the following benefits\r\nHealth Care Benefits which include\r\nAFLAC\r\nVoluntary life insurance benefits\r\nPension contributions (currently 6.0% of your earnings) begin the first quarter after 1 year of employment.\r\nVesting starts after three years of employment, 100% vested after five years of employment\r\nThe Salvation Army also offers a 403(b) voluntary retirement savings plan in which you may participate immediately, with approved vendors.
