MID-LEVEL ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Quantum Water & Environment is an innovative and growing environmental and water consulting firm located in Lakewood, CO. We are seeking a full-time Mid-Level Environmental Engineer to support a variety of investigation and remediation projects. The candidate must have a Professional Engineering license and ideally will have 4-8 years of professional experience with environmental projects and engineering. The Environmental Engineer will serve as both technical lead and project manager for environmental projects. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is team-oriented, is highly organized, and is comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. ​This position has the potential to evolve into the role of Environmental Division Manager with direct oversight of junior and mid-level staff. This role also may support our water resources division if desired. Key Responsibilities: ​Provide technical leadership, management, and support for a variety of environmental projects.Mentor and train junior staff in the office and field.Author and perform review of technical plans and reports.Review and perform QC of field and laboratory data.Network, market, and seek new business development opportunities.Prepare proposals and estimate budgets for a variety of projects including municipal and private sector clients. Manage tasks and assignments to meet deadlines and budgets.Communicate findings and problems with senior staff and make recommendations, as appropriate.Work independently and lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives.Apply knowledge of engineering to aid development and management of solutions to address remediation of contaminated sites.Oversee well installations and perform soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling during busier field seasons. Communicate technical data to non-technical project stakeholders. Perform oversight during construction and remedy implementation phases of projects. This may include multiple weeks in the field at a time at our Colorado-based sites.  Desired Skills and Experience:​BS Degree in environmental engineering (or related field) with 4-8 years of experience in the environmental consulting field.Must have a Professional Engineering License. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refresher (up to date) is required.Experience in various remediation solutions (e.g., excavation, SVE, ISCO, bioremediation enhancements, thermal, air-sparging, etc.) is a plus.Experience with Colorado environmental regulations.Experience in business development with environmental clients and projects. This includes the ability to write proposals and cost estimates.Strong verbal and written (technical writing) communication skills required.Strong, all-round academic knowledge and understanding of complex environments. QA/QC skills.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite. AutoCAD and environmental modeling tools a plus. Familiarity with GIS a plus. Familiarity with Fulcrum a plus.
