Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, Texas, United States Employment type: Full-time Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year Why This Role Matters MissionHires is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide technical expertise for remedial and small-scale new civil/structural projects focused on diagnosing and preventing failures. You will perform structural analyses, develop calculations and reports, review plans for code compliance, conduct site inspections, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. This role includes supporting project management activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping oversee and grow a local team while coordinating with statewide and national offices. How You'll Contribute Follow all safety rules, guidelines, and standards; participate in pre-task planning and report safety concerns Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, framing systems, and load-bearing elements Develop engineering calculations and recommendations to ensure structural integrity and code compliance Review structural and civil plans, specifications, and drawings for accuracy and adherence to requirements Ensure designs meet regulatory guidelines, industry standards, and client expectations Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate structural solutions into overall designs Support project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for structural components Conduct site inspections during construction to verify conformance with design specifications and structural integrity Provide corrective action recommendations when deviations are identified on site Prepare detailed engineering reports, design calculations, and technical recommendations for review by the PE of Record Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely submission of deliverables Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing structural engineering Oversee and help grow a local division of staff; collaborate with statewide and national offices based on expertise What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field); Master’s degree preferred Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas 3–5+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, including design and field work; prior managerial experience preferred Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) and CAD; familiarity with BIM (e.g., Revit) Strong knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, and applicable local/state regulations Working knowledge of geotechnical principles and their impact on structural design Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while supporting staff development Preferred: Experience with reinforced concrete and steel design Preferred: Ability to participate in local professional chapters and support business development activities 401(k) plan Paid time off, holidays, education reimbursement, and various bonus programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
