Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Entry Level Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes for advanced coated materials used in aerospace, defense, protective, and industrial applications. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or engineers with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to learn, take ownership, and develop into technical leaders. The Process Engineer will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to optimize coating processes, improve efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent product quality in an AS9100-certified environment. Key Responsibilities  Process Support & Troubleshooting Support daily manufacturing operations on coating lines (e.g., resin coating, prepreg production) Troubleshoot process issues related to resin content and distribution, cure behavior and oven performance, line speed, tension, and coating uniformity Work directly with operators to identify root causes and implement solutions Continuous Improvement Identify and execute process improvement opportunities focused on throughput and uptime, scrap and rework reduction, and changeover time reduction  Use data to drive decisions and validate improvements Participate in Lean / continuous improvement initiatives Data Analysis & Process Control Collect and analyze production data to monitor process stability Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and process parameters/control limits Support development of process capability and control strategies Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to support operations and customer requirements Assist in customer-related technical investigations when needed Project Work Support small to medium-sized engineering projects such as equipment upgrades, process trials, validations, and new product introductions Track progress and communicate results clearly Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering  0–2 years of engineering experience (internships/co-ops preferred) Manufacturing or process-related experience is a plus Key Skills & Traits Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment  Ability to communicate effectively with operators and cross-functional teams  Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks  Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through without constant supervision  What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months) Develop a strong understanding of coating processes and materials  Independently troubleshoot common production issues  Build credibility with operators and production team  Identify and implement measurable process improvements  Take ownership of a defined process area or line Working Conditions Primarily plant floor; some office and computer time. Exposure to noise and some chemical products in conditions where all appropriate protective equipment is available.
