Maintenance facilities typically operate on a three-shift basis to ensure that maintenance on equipment is completed; tests and inspections of products, services and process to evaluate quality or performance of that equipment is accomplished; and specifications are met to DOT, client or company standards. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nHire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians\n\nApprove priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations\n\nCoordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors\n\nEnsure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently\n\nAssist with physical inventory\n\nImplement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements\n\nParticipate in the development and administration of the operational budget\n\nIdentify opportunities for improving service delivery methods\n\nMonitor daily fuel uploads and PMI schedules\n\nMust be familiar with invoice coding and processing.\n\nMust be familiar with Payroll process\n\nMonitor attendance.\n\nIssue discipline.\n\nConduct tailgates, monthly safety meetings.\n\nOther duties as required.\n\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (5%):\n\nQualifications :\n\nHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent\n\nValid CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred\n\n7 years+ experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment\n\n3 years+ of supervisory experience\n\nBroad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles\n\nFamiliarity with laws & regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\n\nAvailable to work shifts and flexible work schedules as needed.\n\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
