Pleasant is looking for energetic, reliable instructors to teach our after-school Belt Program. Our belt system provides students with a structured pathway through coding, robotics, game development, web design, drones, AI, and other emerging technologies.\nWhether you're experienced in programming or simply passionate about technology and willing to learn, we'll provide the curriculum, training, and support you need to be successful.\nSchedule\nThis position is primarily for our Belt Program during the school year:\nWeekdays: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM\nSaturdays: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM\nAdditional opportunities are available for:\nFriday evening events\nSaturday night events\nSunday afternoon workshops, birthday parties, and special events\nThis is an excellent opportunity for college students, recent graduates, teachers, IT professionals, or anyone looking to inspire the next generation of innovators while building valuable teaching and leadership experience.\nCompensation\nPay: $12.00- 20.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience, performance, and additional responsibilities.\nWhat You'll Teach\nOur instructors lead hands-on classes in a variety of exciting technology pathways, including:\nRobotics with VEX IQ\nScratch & introductory coding\nPython programming\nRoblox Studio\nMinecraft Education\nJavaScript & Web Development\nUnreal Engine Game Development\nDrone Programming\nAI tools and prompt engineering\n3D Design & Printing\nEngineering Design Challenges\nNo experience with every platform is required—we provide comprehensive training and curriculum.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeach engaging, hands-on technology classes using the iCode curriculum.\nPrepare for each class using lesson plans provided by iCode.\nCreate a fun, positive, and organized learning environment.\nEncourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.\nHelp students progress through the iCode Belt Program while building confidence and technical skills.\nAssess student progress and provide feedback to parents and the Center Director.\nMaintain classroom equipment, robotics kits, and technology resources.\nEnsure student safety and maintain high classroom expectations.\nRepresent iCode professionally and provide outstanding customer service to students and families.\nArrive on time, prepared, and ready to create an exceptional experience every day.\nQualifications\nPassion for technology and working with children.\nExperience with coding, robotics, engineering, gaming, or other STEM-related fields is preferred.\nProgramming experience in languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or similar is a plus.\nExperience with Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, Unreal Engine, VEX Robotics, drones, or 3D design is beneficial but not required.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nPositive attitude with the ability to motivate and engage students.\nDependable, organized, and flexible.\nAbility to manage a classroom while making learning fun.\nStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to continue learning new technologies.\nComfortable working with elementary and middle school students.\nWhy Join iCode Mt.
