OT Security Engineer
Minerva Cyber Technologies is seeking a Mid-to-Senior OT (Operational Technology) Security Engineer to help clients assess, secure, and improve the resilience of operational technology environments, with a particular emphasis on critical infrastructure, industrial control systems, and data center OT ecosystems. The ideal candidate brings practical experience in environments where uptime, safety, engineering constraints, and operational continuity matter as much as cybersecurity. What You Will DoConduct OT and ICS security assessments across critical infrastructure and data center environments.Identify and document OT assets, communications paths, dependencies, trust boundaries, and operational risks.Evaluate the security posture of systems such as BAS/BMS, EPMS, generators, UPS, chillers, HVAC controls, environmental monitoring, access control, video systems, industrial networking equipment, and other operational technologies supporting data center operations.Review and improve OT network architecture, segmentation, remote access, jump-host design, monitoring, and access control.Support deployment, tuning, or optimization of OT security technologies, including platforms such as Dragos, Armis, Forescout, Nozomi, Claroty, and similar tools.Develop prioritized remediation plans that reduce risk without disrupting operations.Partner with client stakeholders across operations, facilities, engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams.Contribute to incident response planning, tabletop exercises, playbooks, and recovery readiness for OT environments.Produce clear technical reports, executive-ready summaries, diagrams, risk registers, and implementation recommendations.Support pre-sales, solutioning, workshops, and client briefings when needed.Required Qualifications5-10+ years of relevant cybersecurity, OT security, ICS security, industrial networking, or critical infrastructure security experience.Demonstrated experience securing or assessing OT environments, not just traditional enterprise IT.Experience working in one or more of the following sectors: data centers, energy, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, airports, federal facilities, or other critical infrastructure environments.Practical knowledge of ICS/SCADA security principles, OT architecture, segmentation, remote access control, asset visibility, and risk reduction in uptime-sensitive environments.Experience with one or more OT/IoT/ICS security platforms such as Dragos, Armis, Forescout, Nozomi, Claroty, Tenable.ot, or similar.Familiarity with industrial protocols and communications concepts such as Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, OPC, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, or similar.Experience conducting technical assessments, writing findings, and presenting recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to travel to client sites as needed.Preferred QualificationsExperience securing data center OT and supporting infrastructure, including power, cooling, environmental, and facility control systems.Knowledge of passive monitoring, SPAN/TAP-based visibility, OT asset inventory development, and detection engineering for ICS environments.Experience with incident response, tabletop exercises, and playbook development for OT or cyber-physical environments.Experience in federal, defense, or regulated critical infrastructure environments.Relevant certifications such as GICSP, GRID, CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, CCNP, Security+, or vendor-specific OT certifications.Active clearance or eligibility for clearance. Why Join MinervaWork on meaningful missions tied to critical infrastructure resilience and cybersecurity.Join a team with deep hands-on cyber and national security experience.Help build and shape Minerva’s growing OT and critical infrastructure practice.Contribute to practical, outcomes-driven work rather than checkbox consulting.
