This is your opportunity to mentor others and directly impact the performance and success of next-generation flight-deck technology.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\nCapture, develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements\nDevelop product architectures for systems, hardware, and software to meet performance and safety requirements\nProduce and maintain project artifacts related to planning, requirements, design, validation and verification\nHelp manage, write and review ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 certification artifacts\nReview designs artifacts (documents, schematics, code, drawings, etc.) against upper-level requirements\nMaintain configuration management of the requirements in a controlled environment using DOORS\nLead the design activities in collaboration with the other functions (engineering, test, quality)\nPrimary point of contact for technical discussions with both customers and suppliers\nParticipate in or conduct risk assessments and contingency plans\nEffectively communicate technical concepts and innovative design ideas\nParticipate in hardware and software test planning and execution\nKeep up to date knowledge of international airworthiness regulations and new product certification initiatives\nProactively identify and execute process improvements related to product design and development process\n\nPreferred Education\n\nBachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or other aerospace engineering discipline\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n7-10 years of engineering experience\nProven experience in full life cycle design of systems for aerospace or any other highly regulated industry\n\nPreferred Specialized Skills and Abilities\n\nUnderstanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human-systems interface design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture\nExperienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verification\nWorking knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, including FARs and Regulatory Guidance, assurance standards and methods: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and/or ARP 4754\nCertification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO\nSkilled in requirements management, and experience with DOORS\nModel Based Design experience is a plus\nExperience with Jira, ADO, or other program management tools is a plus.\nExperience and knowledge of cyber security protocols like DO-326 is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nFrequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers\nFrequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computers\nThe person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office\nFrequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus\nThis position is onsite.\n\nEligibility Requirements:\n\n**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**\n\n**This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization**\n\nSalary Range:\n\nThe typical hiring range for this role is:\n\nLevel III: $112,000-$168,000\nLevel IV: $129,000–$193,000\n\nKorry Electronics Competitive Benefits Package:\n\n401(k) matching\n12 paid holidays\nMinimum of three weeks paid time off plus one week paid sick time to start\nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with generous company contribution\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)\nTuition reimbursement\nParental leave\nShort term and long term disability\nLife insurance\nAccidental death & dismemberment insurance\nLong-term care plan options\nPrescription safety shoe & glasses benefit\nVanpool subsidy\nRecognition awards\nEmployee referral bonuses\nEAP (Employee Assistance Program)\n\nKorry Electronics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
