Consult with individuals and teams to determine and verify that the correct course of action is taken.\r\nSeek out permit authorizations for planned and scheduled work.\r\nProvide drawings, sketches, and manufacturer's information to the craftsmen.\r\nRead and interpret typical drawings.\r\nRequisition materials and or special tools/ equipment needed to complete the work.\r\nUnderstand the function of common shop equipment and tools. Share knowledge and experience with others; train other personnel as required.\r\nProvide assistance/work with mechanical technicians, operations, and management as needed.\r\nSurvey and inspect facilities for needed repairs, generate work orders to have the needed repairs scheduled, review/revise specific Job Procedures as needed.\r\nPerform and assume emergency response responsibilities if assigned as part of the job position.\r\nMaintains equipment information and repair files.\r\nAssist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and research.\r\nWork directly with production personnel to isolate and repair equipment problems.\r\nRespond to emergency calls as needed.\r\nProvide training and orientation to all grounds personnel in safety procedures and proper and safe use of tools and equipment.\r\nFollow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing.
