The selected candidate will receive specialized training on CNMOC CDS systems and procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform administration and maintenance of operational Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.\nMonitor system availability, performance, health, and operational status.\nReview system logs and identify anomalies, errors, security events, and performance issues.\nPerform routine system maintenance, patching, configuration updates, and security-related changes.\nTroubleshoot Linux system, application, connectivity, and service issues.\nSupport emergency break/fix activities when operational CDS systems experience outages or degradation.\nAdminister user accounts, permissions, access controls, and privileged-user functions.\nSupport endpoint systems, bridge servers, and CDS data-flow components.\nImplement approved system changes, updates, and operational tasking.\nAssist with configuration and administration of Apache NiFi software components and data flows.\nSupport installation, maintenance, and administration of CDS systems connected to classified networks, including JWICS.\nMaintain system documentation, configuration information, operational records, and troubleshooting procedures.\nCoordinate technical issues and maintenance activities with Government personnel, site leadership, engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and other support staff.\nParticipate in vendor and site-specific training required to administer CNMOC CDS systems.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nCandidates must meet the following minimum requirements:\n\nBachelor of Science in Computer Science OR CompTIA Security+ certification.\nFormal training or demonstrated technical training in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.\nWorking knowledge of Linux system administration, including:\nSystem monitoring\nLog review and management\nSystem configuration and maintenance\nPatch management\nUser and account administration\nFile permissions and access controls\nService management\nTroubleshooting and break/fix support\nKnowledge of Apache NiFi software components, configuration, and/or data-flow concepts.\nAbility to perform privileged-user system administration within classified environments.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nAbility to work independently while coordinating effectively with Government and contractor personnel.\nAbility to work full-time on-site at FNMOC in Monterey, California.\nAbility to travel to Stennis Space Center, Mississippi for training, including up to two one-week training periods.\n\nSecurity Clearance Requirements\n\nActive Top Secret clearance required with Tier 5\nMust be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nThe following experience is highly desirable but not required:\n\nExperience administering or supporting Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).\nExperience supporting systems within JWICS, SIPRNet, or other classified DoD/IC environments.\nExperience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux in highly controlled or mission-critical environments.\nExperience with Apache NiFi administration, configuration, processors, controller services, and data-flow troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, DISA STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.\nExperience supporting operational systems requiring high availability.\nExperience troubleshooting networking, data-transfer, or application-integration issues in Linux environments.\n\nAfter-Hours Support Expectations\n\nThis position is not a 24/7 on-call role.
