You will play a crucial role in monitoring systems, conducting tests, and supporting senior operators in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our treatment processes.\r\nKey Responsibilities 1. Regulatory Compliance, Wastewater Operation, and Monitoring:\r\nAssist in the daily operations of wastewater operations, including monitoring equipment and processes\r\nPerform routine tests and analyses on wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards\r\nMix, add, and maintain chemical addition systems and adjust as necessary to maintain operation within specified parameters\r\nAssist with sanitation and cleaning and other projects to reduce and eliminate down time\r\nCoordinate and facilitate inspections by regulatory agencies and customers\r\nMaintain accurate logs, inspection records, and inventory of supplies\r\nRecord operational data and prepare reports for regulatory compliance\r\nBe able to work independently with minimal supervision\r\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, ensuring all systems function efficiently\r\nProvide back-up support for other duties as needed\r\n2. Safety Enforcement and Training:\r\nResponsible for keeping equipment and surrounding area safe and clean\r\nWork with maintenance department to fix equipment concerns in a timely manner\r\nParticipate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of wastewater treatment processes\r\nRespond to system alarms, equipment malfunctions, and emergency situation to maintain continuous plant operations\r\nLearn and monitor all applicable environmental and occupational health and safety requirements to achieve 100% compliance and perform related duties\r\nWhat You Bring To Pacific Seafood Required\r\nHigh School Diploma/GED equivalent\r\n1-2 years related experience\r\nPreferred\r\nPrior seafood industry experience\r\nExperience with the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nMust be available to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.\r\nMust be able to watch and react to changing situations, to ensure safety.\r\nAbility to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.\r\nAbility to stand or walk for long periods.\r\nAbility to use hands and fingers to carefully complete tasks and skillful actions, making sure to pay close attention to details and accuracy.\r\nAbility to read a limited number of two and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.\r\nAbility to print and speak simple sentences.\r\nAbility to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.\r\nCapable of working and communicating in loud environments, while focusing on tasks.\r\nCapable of training in using specialized tools and equipment pertinent to operations.\r\nCapable of solving simple math equations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\r\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nTraditional warehouse and production facility environment\r\nLarge, specialized equipment\r\nLarge moving equipment\r\nHigh noise level\r\nExposure to cold/freezing temperatures\r\nExposure to hazardous material\r\nWet environment\r\nSafety equipment (hair nets, gloves, smock, etc.)\r\nWell-illuminated environment\r\nScents related to the production facility\r\nBenefits Total compensation\r\nAt Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
