CAD Technician - Civil, Iowa

Our team values mentorship, technical development, and providing our CAD technicians with a clear path forward.ResponsibilitiesDesign and drafting of engineering plans.Complete quantity calculations as directed by engineer.Works under the guidance of engineers and project managers to complete assigned drafting tasks.Understands and follows the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.Maintains schedules and offers progress reports.Revises or changes drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions. QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent minimumAssociates Degree or equivalent preferred1+ Years of civil engineering design related experience preferred.Previous experience with Autodesk Products (Civil 3D)Previous experience with Bentley Products (Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.) preferred.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.Ability to take direction and express understanding of the directions received. CompensationThe estimated compensation range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour. This range is just an estimate for this posting.
