{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e2bd0f4e1c20e95d5dbcec8e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2bd0f4e1c20e95d5dbcec8e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2bd0f4e1c20e95d5dbcec8e","title":"HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT","description":"The Gas and Plasma Dynamics Laboratory (GPDL) directed by Dr. Han at Missouri University of Science and Technology is expected to have an opening of High School Research Assistant/Intern for the academic year 2025-2026.\nThe prospective research assistant/intern will work with the research group on several NASA funded projects related to lunar exploration and resource utilization\nExpected research activities include,\nLiterature review\nStudy of user’s manual of facilities\nData analysis (post-processing and visualization)\nDocumentation of design/fabrication records and experiment data\nAssist in re-design of research hardware/instrument through physics-based and/or data-driven optimization.\nThe prospective assistant/intern will also interact with/assist other researchers in the group.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSelf-motivated\nHave a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale\nHave completed Advanced/Honors/AP courses (or equivalent college level) in Math (Calculus and Statistics), Physics, and Chemistry\nHave strong interest in STEM projects\nCommitment to completing the research project within the project performance period\nAnticipated Hiring Range\n\nThe anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 hourly.\n\nSalary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.\n\nYour total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
