The ideal candidate will:\n\nDemonstrate a balance of intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring the unknown.\n\nHave a bias for action and a proven record of delivering results.\n\nEmbrace challenges and learn from mistakes, staying open to feedback and continuous improvement.\n\nHave a strong desire to advance within the business, exploring lateral roles to build a broad organizational perspective.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nIdentify, evaluate, and qualify components and materials used in the company’s technology.\n\nTrack lifecycle status of components and investigate alternate component technologies or suppliers with a focus on cost reduction and improving quality and reliability.\n\nAct as technical interface between component/material suppliers and the procurement team in helping to determine new and alternate sources.\n\nDevelop guidelines and procedures on vendor selection and counterfeit mitigation.\n\nEvaluate supplier/product change notifications (PCNs) for impact to the business and qualify changes, as needed.\n\nHelp maintain component data management system including qualification records, results, and documentation.\n\nCoordinate failure analysis and corrective action activities on component parts.\n\nSupport counterfeit prevention program by identifying component level testing requirements to determine authenticity of parts received from non‑franchised distributors.\n\nReview parts lists of electronic circuit card assemblies; verify pad‑to‑part footprints and mechanical/electrical interfaces on new and revised designs and on alternate component selections.\n\nInterface with Manufacturing Engineering / Quality Engineering to provide recommendations on design for manufacturing related issues.\n\nEducation & Experience Requirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Materials Science or a related field preferred, plus a minimum of 1 year of direct experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with data‑driven decision‑making.\n\nExperience with SAE AS6171 (testing procedures), AS6081 (distributor avoidance/testing), and AS5553 (avoidance for manufacturers) standards is a plus.\n\nIDEA‑ICE‑3000 Professional Inspector Certification is a plus.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nYou’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.
