Job Summary We're looking for an experienced HVAC Journeyman Technician with deep expertise in heavy chiller systems and building automation to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service.Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair large tonnage chillers — air-cooled and water-cooled — including centrifugal, screw, and scroll configurations.Troubleshoot and program DDC/BAS building controls systems at an advanced level.Commission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiency.Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.Required QualificationsActive TDLR HVAC Journeyman License (Texas).EPA 608 Universal Certification.5 or more years of commercial HVAC experience with significant exposure to heavy chiller systems.Demonstrated experience with BAS/DDC controls platforms.Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems.Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.Valid Texas driver's license in good standing.Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.Preferred QualificationsFactory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers.Hands-on controls programming or commissioning background.Prior experience in hospitals, industrial plants, or large-scale commercial buildings.What We OfferPay based on experience and qualifications.Company vehicle, tools, and field technology provided.Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.PTO and paid company holidays. xaygatp Continued training and advancement opportunities.
