This role owns the most complex and priority jobs, develops service quotes, drives process and documentation standards, and mentors the Service Coordinator I — freeing the Service Manager to focus on estimating, field leadership, and growing the division. The ideal candidate brings deep service-coordination experience, sound independent judgment, and a track record of dependable, high-quality customer service.\nKEY REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:\nReports to: Service Manager\nDirect Reports: None (provides work direction to and mentors the Service Coordinator I).\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nIn addition to performing the full scope of Service Coordinator I duties — with greater autonomy and ownership of the highest-volume, most complex, and priority jobs — the Service Coordinator II:\nServes as the lead coordinator and primary point of contact for complex, escalated, and key-account service work.\nDevelops and refines service quotes and estimates in collaboration with the Service Manager, estimating, and project management.\nOwns coordination of the on-call/after-hours rotation and emergency-response workflow for the division.\nMonitors job performance — cycle time, labor efficiency, billing turnaround, and customer satisfaction — and flags issues and improvement opportunities to the Service Manager.\nPartners with leadership to improve service-delivery processes, documentation standards, and best practices across the team.\nReviews the work orders, billing packages, and documentation prepared by the Service Coordinator I for accuracy and completeness.\nTrains and mentors the Service Coordinator I on systems, scheduling, billing, and customer-communication best practices.\nRepresents the service department in cross-functional and planning meetings and contributes to department planning.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills; able to juggle competing priorities and frequent interruptions without losing track of details.\nCalm, solution-oriented approach to emergency and after-hours service situations.\nClear, professional verbal and written communication with customers, field staff, and the office team, in English.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with construction/service management and job-costing software — Viewpoint (Vista/Spectrum) strongly preferred.\nBasic understanding of electrical and general construction processes, materials, and terminology.\nWorking knowledge of T&M billing, work orders, material requisitions, and basic job-cost concepts.\nAbility to read and interpret basic construction documents is a plus.\nDetail-oriented and accurate with data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.\nAble to maintain confidentiality with sensitive company and customer information.\nTeam-oriented, dependable, and proactive, with a commitment to quality and customer service.\nProven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make coordination decisions under pressure.\nDemonstrated leadership, training, or mentoring ability.\nConfident developing service quotes and reviewing others’ work for accuracy.\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field a plus.\nMinimum Experience: 5+ years in service coordination, dispatch, or a related construction/technical services role, including demonstrated experience with complex scheduling, T&M billing, and customer relationship management.\nRequired License: Valid driver’s license.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nRegularly required to sit and/or stand for long periods while completing duties and responsibilities.\nMust have full range of body movements including use of hands/fingers to handle and feel objects such as computer and other office equipment; must be able to bend, reach, and crouch when needed.\nSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, sufficient to shift focus between computer screens and close forms.\nAbility to lift up to twenty-five (25) lbs.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nPrimarily an office environment with frequent interaction with field staff and customers.\nFast-paced, with frequent phone and email activity and periodic interruptions to handle urgent or emergency service requests.\nParticipation in an on-call / after-hours rotation may be required to support the service division’s emergency response.\nOccasional visits to job sites or vendors; may be exposed to varying weather conditions during site visits.\nWhy Join Benchmark Electrical Solutions?\nCompetitive pay\nSupportive and respectful team culture\nGrowth potential and advancement opportunities\nComprehensive benefits package\nA workplace that values integrity, quality, and professionalism\nAdditional Requirements:\nCandidates must pass a comprehensive background check, physical demands analysis, and a pre-employment drug screen.
