Pool Attendant
DescriptionJob Overview: A Pool attendant's primary responsibility will be to monitor the number of guests allowed in the pool area and make sure everyone is following the pool rules. The Pool Attendant also provides superior customer service to residents; responds promptly to resident inquiries and concerns and resolves issues as they are able in a timely efficient manner. Shifts run Monday-Sunday and shifts are scheduled from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Attendants are required to work a combination of weekends and week days. Your Responsibilities: The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Accountability for servicing residents with a focus on the values of FirstService Residential: Do What's Right, Own It, Improve It, Aim High, Build Great Relationships, and Be Genuinely Helpful Must maintain regular and punctual attendance to required shifts, meetings, training, and related employment engagements to support position responsibilities and duties. Any alterations to the required schedule must be reviewed and approved, in advance, by your supervisor. To know and fully understand all association rules related to the Association pool. Require signature, address and phone number for each household entering with key fob. Verify that the person attempting to enter the pool has a working fob. If a homeowner has an issue with their fob, share the Office and Association Manager's contact information. Send the homeowner's name and contact information from the sign-in sheet to the Association Manager. As people are checking in, remind them that no glass containers (pop, juice, salsa etc.) are allowed in the pool area. Sanitize pool gate handles disinfecting wipes provided twice per 5-hour shift. Keep pool attendant's table area clean and sanitized. Confirm that the people entering the pool are 14 years or older if no adult is present (person must confirm the homeowner's name, address, phone number.) Pool attendants should be circling the pool decks occasionally watching for anyone with glass containers, straightening deck chairs, picking up debris, making sure areas are clean. If it is reported that someone has pooped in the pool, you will have to announce that everyone must come out of the pool and that the pool is closing. You will need to put up the "pool closed for cleaning" sign and chain the gate. You will need to contact the pool vendor and let them know that someone pooped in the pool, and we need service. Make sure the pool gate is always closed. Make sure there are no loose items or paper that could blow into the pool. Report any items in need of repair to the Office or Association Manager. Pool staff are NOT to perform any lifeguard duties Additional duties as assigned by the Management team Additional Duties & Responsibilities: Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work. Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management. Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma Experience in a customer service position Excel, Outlook, and Word experience Knowledge of customer service principles and practices Knowledge of basic administrative duties and organization skills Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written Problem solving skills Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
