{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e2a3dc1e5ad585f0d3eb4fad","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2a3dc1e5ad585f0d3eb4fad","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2a3dc1e5ad585f0d3eb4fad","title":"Millwork Engineer - Microvellum","description":"This position will provide support of multiple projects and tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager and team.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nRecord and track the status and completion of tasks provided by the Engineering Manager.\r\nCommunicate and collaborate with engineering and production team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.\r\nPrepare written communications and correspondences regarding engineering and project material.\r\nAttend weekly standups with Engineering team to receive and discuss weekly assignments.\r\nMeet the design intent of our contracted scope of work by utilizing existing construction documents.\r\nProduce custom construction details when necessary to meet the design intent of our contracted scope of work.\r\nComplete submittals in a timely manner and according to our company standards.\r\nMaintain an understanding of all the materials and hardware used to manufacture the approved scope of work.\r\nProcess releases through Microvellum, saw optimization and CAM software; annotate as built drawings, and print & release reports and drawings for production.\r\nEffectively manages time and prioritizes assigned tasks.\r\nUtilize AutoCAD & Microvellum to draft and detail assigned work.\r\nCollaborate with production & project management to effectively develop production drawings.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nOther Duties\r\nPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing or activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\r\nSupervisory Responsibility\r\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\r\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\r\nPreferred Education and Skills (in addition to the required)\r\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Wood Technology, or related field\r\n3+ years experience drafting/drawing with AutoCAD and Microvellum\r\n3+ years experience working in the architectural millwork industry\r\nKnowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards\r\nRequired Education and Skills\r\nHigh school diploma or GED\r\nExperience drafting with AutoCAD\r\nAbility to read and understand architectural drawings\r\nExperience with millwork production methods and fabrication techniques\r\nProficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\r\nThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.\r\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\r\nWork environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
