BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

The behavioral health specialist, as part of the primary care treatment team,helps to identify and manage patients with medical and behavioral healthproblems within the primary care setting. The behavioral health specialistprovides skill training through psychoeducation and/or patient educationstrategies, as well as develops specific behavioral change plans for patients.It is preferred that the behavioral health specialist have evidence of requiredtraining, however training will be provided for those candidates that meet allother clinical licensure requirements, so as to be able to provide briefpsychosocial interventions appropriate for primary care settings such asproblem-solving treatment.Education: Graduate from an accredited master's degree program in the mentalhealth field.License/Certifications: Provisional LMHC, LMSW, LCSW or higher Certification inCase Management preferred.Experience: Previous experience in case management preferred.General computer knowledge and capability to use computers required.Critical thinking skills and ability to analyze complex data sets required.Previous experience in the mental health field, counseling or relatedexperience.Salary Range: $24.72 - $39.01Columbia Memorial Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
