{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e291b7f5ea72fe418b1170c2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e291b7f5ea72fe418b1170c2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e291b7f5ea72fe418b1170c2","title":"Software Engineer","description":"Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Painted Post, NY 14870 | ONSITE/ HYBRID JOB Duration: 12 months (Possibility of extension) Pay Range: $40 PER HOUR ON W2Job Description:Interface directly with the Client’s Environmental Technologies Division Engineering Measurements & Controls group to contribute to and develop software and algorithms for processing imaging data.This work supports the inspection and production of Environmental Technologies products.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the measurements group to develop approaches for data manipulation to assist with production and quality feedback.Develop software and image processing algorithms for inspection technology.Transfer technology from early-stage development to products suitable for manufacturing use.Create and update documentation for production release of applications and procedures.Train engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on the use and maintenance of developed applications and procedures.Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting using data and performance analysis of deployed applications.Required EducationBachelor's degree required.Advanced degree preferred in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or Optics.Required Experience/SkillsProgramming in C# and Python (strongly preferred).Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software architecture concepts.Knowledge of image processing algorithms, including:Blob analysisEdge findingMorphologyFeature extractionClassificationMetrologyData retrieval, plotting, and analysis.Strong communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.Desired Experience/SkillsExperience with image processing development packages such as Halcon or OpenCV.Ability to train CNNs and utilize traditional machine learning methods.Knowledge of statistical analysis approaches and MEE concepts.Ability to interface with Database Management Systems.Experience with metrology, inspection, and product quality in support of manufacturing.Optical measurement system development, including optics, lighting, cameras, image acquisition, image analysis, lasers, and 3D measurement.Fundamental knowledge of physical optics.Soft SkillsAbility to interact effectively with customers and coworkers while also working independently.Results-oriented, quick learner, and able to multitask effectively.Feel free to forward my email to your friends/colleagues who might be available.
