Monday to friday (3 days/12 Hours)Per Week: 36 HoursUnit Capacity: 36 BedsPopulation Served: Cardiac and Neuro Stepdown: Cardiac bedside monitoring, Cardiac drips, TR bands, Post heart caths, Stroke/Neuro patients, BIPAP overflowsAges of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Successful completion of a proctored rhythm testRoles & ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current RN Cardiac Telemetry experience.Graduate from a fully accredited RN programActive unencumbered RN Tennessee state licenseOne year of Cerner experience Requirements• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
