{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e27397d8a7fbb081c6a8f6b5","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e27397d8a7fbb081c6a8f6b5","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e27397d8a7fbb081c6a8f6b5","title":"Machine Operator, 3rd shift","description":"Overview:\nThe primary purpose of this position is to utilize diverse types of equipment and tooling to manufacture products for the Professional Cleaning markets.\nResponsibilities:\nReading of production Shop Orders; knowledge product specifications for proper processing of product.\nUnderstanding and following proper safety procedures when using the equipment and/or tooling, and handling of products.\nFollowing Control Plans within the IFS system.\nReading, understanding, and demonstrating proficiency to Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, and Work Guidelines.\nPerform quality inspection/measurements and recording for each Shop Order as required.\nGathering and loading of the necessary raw materials needed to complete the Shop Order.\nPackaging of product to IFS specifications.\nCompleting Shop Orders and placing product in the correct area.\n\nParticipating and working within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.\n\nOthers may be assigned.\nCompetencies:\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nPerforms duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.\nAbility to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures.\nAble to demonstrate support and adherence to Contec’s core values: respect for others,\ndoing “whatever it takes” within Contec’s core values, vision and strategic direction,\nexhibiting integrity, having a tolerance for risk, understanding there is life outside of work,\nenjoying the ride.\nDemonstrated ability to operate all equipment in the Professional Cleaning manufacturing area.\nRequirements:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals to the tenth. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw simple geometric figures. (Example: 12.7 x 21 rectangle).\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the cutting machine as well as remain stationary for short periods of time. The employee must regularly transport and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally transport and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision\n\nWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration.
