This position will work in the area of business systems, database development and support.\n\nQualified candidates should possess an intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft SQL technology, experience with database design, proficiency in various reporting tools and a thorough understanding of system development concepts and processes.\n\nPrincipal Accountabilities and Success Factors:\n\nWorks on a variety of applications systems analysis, programming, supporting\nactivities.\n\nUnderstands and documents MRIGlobal’s business requirements and the technological solutions needed to meet those requirements.\nWorks with customers to resolve production issues with business applications.\nAssists in preparing detailed specifications for which programs will be written.\nInforms task leader(s)/supervisor of status and progress in a timely manner.\nTakes initiative, demonstrate accountability for successful completion\nCompetencies:\n\nUnderstanding of management of Information Systems such as database management, application development experience.\nProficient in written/oral communication skills, interpersonal, and analytical skills.\nAn aptitude to adapt and learn quickly, be a self-starter, plan, and organize.\nAbility to effectively communicate and interact at all levels in a team-based environment.\nUnderstanding of the business systems analyst discipline, including requirements gathering/documentation, process management/improvement, and design\nExcellent customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in database or software development, with a strong focus on designing and implementing complex solutions.\nIntermediate level experience in development of complex queries and stored procedures.\nSolid knowledge of basic accounting finance terminologies and principles.\nFamiliarity in MS database management and development tools such as SSMS and Visual Studio.\nAbility to learn new technology and work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to determine relevance and make decisions with creative and analytical thinking.\nProven experience in technical leadership and mentoring junior developers.\nA willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nHands-on development experience in MS SQL Server environment.\nHands-on experience in developing complex ETL solutions using MS SSIS or any other ETL tools.\nExperience supporting Deltek Costpoint or any other financial accounting system is a plus.\nHands-on development and deployment experience working with MS SSRS, IBM Cognos or any other report development tool is a plus.\nProficiency in one or more programming or script languages such as Java, C#, Python, .NET or JavaScript.
