The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.05 plus $1.50 shift differential per hour.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nPerform a wide variety of duties throughout the foundry areas following standard procedures and/or work instructions.\nTransport materials, castings, and/or equipment with either a fork truck or payloader.\nUse a variety of rough grinding equipment, portable hand power tools, and bench grinders as necessary to remove parting lines, gates, risers, flash, and other surface defects as prescribed.\nChange own small inspect grinding wheels or bits or dress wheels as necessary according to job requirement or when worn, place prescribed wheel or abrasive belt on the machine or select wheels or belts within narrow limits.\nOperate other power equipment to cut sprues, gates, risers, and runners.\nOperate bandsaw and change blade as required. Operate power vac, repair ladles, dump and shakeout molds, hook off and shovel castings, etc.\nSetup and operate automatic molding machines as assigned and/or following work instructions.\nOperate shot blast cleaning equipment.\nFill small cavities with lab metal and smooth and patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards and operate automatic floor sweeper.\nPerform minor maintenance duties such as tightening loose parts (spray nozzles, etc.), replacing parts (sprues, etc.), clean assigned work area.\nDetect and report all defective materials; refer questionable cases to proper supervision and follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.\nQualifications:\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\nA minimum of (3) three months manufacturing experience.\nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Syracuse, NY (50 miles) will be considered for this position.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
