Overview TASK ORDER PROJECT MANAGER - SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)

This role supports DLA's Strategic Capabilities and Processes (SCAP) Directorate by providing subject matter expertise in acquisition, IT, cyber assurance, engineering, and program support services. The work focuses on helping the CIO/PEO manage IT capabilities across the full system development lifecycle, improving enterprise capability management processes, supporting modernization and rationalization efforts, and driving collaboration, user adoption, and continuous process improvement. The scope also includes Agile/SAFe program support, strategic communications, business and budget analysis, technical documentation, risk and schedule management, SharePoint/ServiceNow support, and transition planning, with specific deliverables and priorities defined at the task-order level.
Description
Serves as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives.
Under the guidance of the Program Manager (PM), responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Task Order Project Manager must also be a certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent ICAgile certification.
Required Experience Active Secret clearance or currently work with the DLA
Education: BS or BA or four (4) additional years of related experience to task order project management and/or agile project management
Must have Project Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, other equivalent nationally recognized certification)
Five (5) years of project management or other relevant experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields
Five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields and in addition, have 10 years or more year of relevant PM experience
Five plus (5+) years of experience coordinating business operations
Experience facilitating PI Planning for 50+ person trainings
Experience managing value stream coordination across functional boundaries
Experience delivering metrics-driven reporting to senior leadership
Experience with integration with enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Google Workspace)
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks for business processes
