{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e2605ccbcd8d6c3d25901db2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2605ccbcd8d6c3d25901db2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e2605ccbcd8d6c3d25901db2","title":"Sr. Mechanical Engineer","description":"Responsibilities\n● Design & develop products from concept to mass production\n● Design & prototype test fixtures and test equipment for R&D and mass production\n● Create and manage product/ project documentation throughout the product life cycle, in accordance with the company’s ISO13485 QMS including:\n○ Product development plans (PDP)\n○ Design inputs, product requirements, and design outputs\n○ Design Verification & Design Validation Plans as well as supporting documents, reports, and matrices.\n○ Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA)\n● Calculate (excel/ hand calcs) important design criteria, such as forces, stress, deflection, wear, etc and create FEA models/ simulations when necessary\n● 3D CAD design for manufacturing, spanning a variety of processes, including milling, turning, and injection molding.\n● Create engineering drawings with GD&T best practices\n● Plan and manage design reviews and releases per the project schedule\n● Create and approve ECRs (engineering change requests)\n● Analyze manufacturing data for assigned projects to ensure requirements and quality metrics are met.\n● Manufacturing process & material research and development\n● CAM and operate CNC to produce prototypes and test fixtures (training will be provided)\nQualifications\n● 5+ years of relevant experience in medical device design/ manufacturing\n● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields\n● Lead engineer on product(s) that made it to series production\n● Proficiency in 3D CAD design, FEA, and 2D drafting/ drawings\n● Experience designing parts for a variety of machining processes\n● Experience with a broad range of finishing processes\n● Experience with medical device design & manufacturing documentation throughout the product development process\n● Experience with ISO13485 quality system\n● Self motivated and capable of driving and leading projects\n● Good planning and time management skills\n● Comfortable with and capable of solving very complex and ambiguous problems and managing multiple projects simultaneously\nNice to Have\n● Siemens NX Experience\n● CAM & CNC experience\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $90,000.00 -
