The role requires strong hands-on expertise along with ownership, mentoring, and client interaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nTechnical Development:\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications\n\nDevelop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices\n\nImplement robust, secure, and high-performance solutions\n\nEnsure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices\n\nSolutioning & Design:\n\nUnderstand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions\n\nContribute to low-level and high-level design (LLD/HLD)\n\nParticipate in architecture discussions and design reviews\n\nDelivery Ownership:\n\nOwn modules/components end-to-end\n\nEnsure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met\n\nIdentify and mitigate technical risks/issues\n\nCollaboration & Stakeholder Interaction:\n\nWork closely with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects\n\nParticipate in client discussions and status updates\n\nProvide technical clarifications and support during delivery\n\nMentoring & Code Quality:\n\nMentor junior developers and guide them on best practices\n\nConduct code reviews and enforce quality standards\n\nDrive improvements in code quality, reusability, and performance\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\nCore Technical Skills:\n\nStrong hands-on experience in:\n\nJava (8 or above)\n\nSpring Boot / Spring MVC\n\nMicroservices Architecture\n\nHibernate / JPA\n\nExperience building REST APIs and integration services\n\nCloud & Modern Tech:\n\nExposure to Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)\n\nBasic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes\n\nDatabase:\n\nStrong in SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)\n\nKnowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB) – good to have\n\nDevOps & Tools:\n\nCI/CD tools: Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions\n\nVersion control: Git\n\nFamiliarity with logging/monitoring tools\n\nFunctional Skills:\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\n\nGood communication and client-facing skills\n\nExperience in Agile/Scrum environment\n\nPreferred (Nice to Have):\n\nDomain experience in Insurance (Guidewire), Banking, Healthcare\n\nExposure to frontend technologies (Angular/React)\n\nKnowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka)\n\nThe pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $13.87/hour - $21.67/hour.
