Senior UI/UX Designer

Our client, a top recognizable financial/commercial banking organization, is hiring a Senior Visual and UI/UX Designer to join their team working on their new visual refresh of the their banking digital and in-app experiences for the US, an exciting new initiative, reporting to their Senior Design Manager of US Digital Banking.Hourly Rate: Up to $60/hour (some flex)Duration: 1 year*High probability to extend & possibility to convert to FTE (not guaranteed) Location: Chicago (hybrid)Day to Day: Work on the new look/feel for the digital experience (design systems/design guidelines have been established)Key designer driving visual design thinking, contribute to ideation, and design strategy; breathe life into the new visual experience and establish core elements to take into the application Apply the design system/guidelines to the US side of the business, building it into next year's visual refresh for their mobile banking applicationPartner with UX/Product Design and UX Research Own the work end-to-end working highly collaboratively, and fairly autonomously Requirements/Experience Needed: 7+ years of experience (somewhat flexible) Experience with higher-level visual design thinking, contribute to strategy and design ideation/vision (this is not a straight delivery role!) Specific design experience working on mobile/native applications - required Visual/Digital/Brand design background with a strong hands on understanding of UI/UX designAd agency experience a plus! (banking experience like to have, not required) Portfolio required - seeking clean layouts, use of gradients/animations, confident use of white space, clean/on trend look/feelMust have experience designing for web, mobile, and application (animation a plus!) Experience with infographics or visualizing complex information a plusPlease provide your portfolio within your resume showcasing clean on-trend digital/application/mobile design work; must be well organized.
