Part-Time Summer Maintenance / Custodian Help

Position Type:Maintenance/Custodial Date Posted:3/18/2026 Location:Lakewood Park Christian School Date Available:06/01/2026 Part-Time Summer Maintenance / Custodian Help General Duties: Support the maintenance/custodial team preparing buildings for the school year. Hours:20 to 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday (flexible around camps and holidays). Seasonal position; no benefits. Areas of Responsibility:Clean buses; empty trash and recycling Move and assemble furniture; set up and break down rooms Perform light grounds work (weeding, litter pickup, mulching) Assist with basic maintenance (paint touch-ups, replacing ceiling tiles, changing filters and light bulbs) Follow safety and sanitation guidelines; report maintenance issues Complete additional tasks as assigned Physical & General Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (4+ hours) and work in outdoor conditions Reliable, able to follow directions Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check Previous cleaning or grounds experience preferred, but not required Professional Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required Custodial or related experience preferred Professional appearance and positive attitude Strong time management skills Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to be on his/her feet for extended periods of time. The employee frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp and carry tools and other items. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Supervision and Evaluation The custodial team member is supervised and evaluated by the Facilities Director.
