Date: 4.17.2026Job Title: Strategic Engagement CoordinatorDivision / Department: DevelopmentFLSA: ExemptSchedule: Full-Time, to include evenings and weekends.*Reporting Manager: Director of Strategic EngagementLocation: Washington, DCSalary: $50,000 AnnuallyPosition SummaryThe Strategic Engagement Coordinator supports the Development team in advancing the mission of the Museum of the Bible by assisting with government relations initiatives, coordinating VIP experiences, and providing logistical support for high-profile events.This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality and relationship management. The coordinator will work closely with museum leadership, congressional offices, faith leaders, donors, and strategic partners to ensure meaningful engagement with the museum and its mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, and capable of operating effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and discretion.Duties & ResponsibilitiesGovernment Relations Support (30%)Assist in coordinating the museum’s government relations initiatives with members of Congress, congressional staff, the Executive branch, embassies, and public officials.Support the scheduling, preparation, and execution of briefings, meetings, and policy-related events involving government stakeholders.Maintain contact databases and assist with communications, invitations, and follow-up with government leaders and offices.Prepare event materials, briefing documents, and logistical support for meetings with public officials.America 250 EngagementSupport the museum’s engagement with the national America 250 initiative and related commemorative programs.Assist in coordinating partnerships, events, and strategic engagements connected to the 250th anniversary of the United States.Help facilitate meetings and outreach with America 250 stakeholders, state commissions, and partner organizations.Provide logistical and administrative support for America 250–related programming hosted or supported by the museum.VIP Tours & Engagement (30%) Train to become a VIP tour guide and offer tours when needed to high profile donors and stakeholders of the museum.Coordinate and help facilitate VIP tours for members of Congress, senior government officials, donors, faith leaders, and other distinguished guests.Ensure tours are executed with exceptional hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.Prepare tour briefings, schedules, and logistical plans for VIP visits.Serve as a point of contact for visiting delegations and high-level guests.Event Support (30%) Provide logistical and operational support for development events, donor receptions, lectures, and special programs hosted by the museum.Assist with planning and executing events involving government leaders, policy professionals, and cultural influencers.Coordinate event registration, guest lists, seating arrangements, and day-of-event logistics.Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.Administrative & Operational SupportMaintain organized records of meetings, events, and engagements.Assist with drafting invitations, correspondence, and follow-up communications.Support the Development team with research, scheduling, and project coordination.Maintain thorough and accurate records of engagements in salesforce and other data management systems.Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and strategic initiatives of the Development department.Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines, and design standards.Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.Other Duties as Assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Skills & AttributesAttention to Detail: Ability to manage complex logistics and ensure flawless execution of tours and events.High-Level Professionalism: Comfortable interacting with senior leaders, government officials, and VIP guests.Adaptability: Ability to quickly adjust priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong Work Ethic: Willingness to work evenings or weekends when necessary to support museum events and engagements.Team-Oriented Mindset: Collaborative spirit with a commitment to supporting colleagues and advancing the museum’s mission.Grace Under Pressure: Ability to work efficiently and calmly in high-stress or time-sensitive situations.Experience with maintaining records on salesforce preferred.Work ScheduleThis position typically operates during standard business hours but requires flexibility to support events, VIP visits, and programs that may take place in the evenings or on weekends.Mission AlignmentThe ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the mission of the Museum of the Bible and is motivated to help expand its influence among leaders in government, culture, and faith communities.
