He or she should understand the application and database design, will work both independently and closely with product owner and other developers through the design, development and testing activities. The right candidate will assist with tracking performance metrics and integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities. This role is a key contributing role in a complex and crucial environment and may have dedicated responsibilities for one or more product features.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nAbility to understand the architecture and create technical design of application components.\nHands on technical development of complex application features, both frontend and backend.\nEnsure code quality and ensure testing guidelines are met.\nStrong understanding of Java best practices, system scalability, and performance tuning.\nAbility to look beyond the status quo and identify areas of constant change / improvements.\nEnsure on-time delivery of software components to production, within their responsibilities.\nCollaborate with product stakeholders to identify functional and non-functional requirements\nShowcase strong technical expertise and understand and follow best practices, procedures, and techniques.\nParticipate in open, frank discussions, especially in technical matters.\nWork with Quality Assurance and Product Owner teams to ensure that software products meet functional and non-functional requirements.\nPresent and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences\nResolve production defects and issues\nDevelop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.\nCreate and execute integration level test plans.\nParticipate in and lead functional and technical specification reviews.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics\n5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE software development with hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodology\nExperience in unit testing, unit testing frameworks, and unit testing methodologies.\nExperience in a pattern-based approach to software design. Good knowledge of software design patterns.\nAble to interact comfortably with other developers, within and across teams.\nCompletely hands-on with coding and can demonstrate high level of problem solving.\nProactive and detail oriented, yet comfortable working in a dynamic environment with fast paced deliveries and changing requirements.\nHighly motivated and able to work independently and apply own initiative.\nQuality-oriented with focus on product delivery\nExperience working with the following technologies:\nJava 8 and higher\nSpring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data\nJSP, Servlets, Javascript (preferably ES6), J2EE\nJavascript framework Vue JS, React JS, Angular JS\nRest/SOAP API definition & implementation\nExperience working on backend systems\nHands-on experience in technologies like, Docker, Rancher, Tomcat would be a plus\nMaven, UNIX/LINUX Commands, J-unit.\nGit, GitLab, GitHub, SVN\nAgile methodology\nOracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL\nKafka, ActiveMQ\nBusiness Intelligence and Reporting Tools\nAny application servers (JBOSS)\nAWS cloud technologies\n\nInterview Policy & Privacy Notice:\nA video interview is required for this position.
