Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
Administer medications following DDS Medication Administration certification procedures.
Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and proper food consistency
Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols.
Support residents in engaging with community activities, social programs, and recreational outings to promote social well-being.
Follow established care plans meticulously while documenting observations and interactions within Therap electronic case management system.
Bring individuals to doctor appointments.
Experience
Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques such as bathing, dressing, or assisting with personal care preferred.
Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs populations.
Experience in DDS medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation is a plus.
Ability to perform transfers safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and walkers.
Ability to work as a team or independently if needed.
Compassionate attitude about working with individuals with disabilities.
Excellent communication skills to help build trusting relationships with residents and other team members.

Pay: $19.28 - $19.81 per hour
