You will apply your understanding of modern best practices to create a stable and secure system. Working closely with our engineering, data science, and product teams, you’ll develop and implement a roadmap that prepares Windfall Data for its next stage of growth. As the first lead in this role, you will have the opportunity to set and execute your vision for managing reproducibility, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.\n\nWindfall’s systems offer a mix of data-heavy ETL workloads and SaaS applications, giving you a wide range of infrastructure challenges to manage. Our product offers data volume and variety on par with much larger, legacy people data companies and will push you to innovate continually. Our machine learning workloads require a dynamic, modern infrastructure with deep monitoring and excellent observability.\n\nWe’re on a mission to change how organizations perceive and use people data. And we hold true to our core values of: (1) Be an excellent communicator; (2) Operate with transparency; (3) Provide leverage, not optimization; (4) Make a difference every day; and (5) Act with integrity and trust.\nResponsibilities:\nLead Windfall’s approach to infrastructure management\nHands-on design and development of our approach to infrastructure-as-code and change management\nWork with key stakeholders to develop strategies for deployment, monitoring, and incident response\nUnderstand cloud provider managed offerings and utilize them whenever possible\nBalance trade-offs between quality, complexity, and speed of delivery\nRequirements:\n8+ years of infrastructure development, SRE, and/or DevOps experience\n3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes\n2+ years of infrastructure-as-code experience in a cloud environment\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nUnderstanding quick development cycles and tradeoffs between solutions\nComfortable taking ownership and driving projects to completion\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProduction experience with Google Cloud Platform\nExperience supporting machine learning systems\nAdditional Information:\nThe range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
