The Purchasing Agent is responsible for generating purchase orders, maintaining vendor relations, analyzing, and fulfilling inventory requirements, communicating discrepancies with sales staff and planners, following up with vendors on existing orders to ensure on-time delivery.\nTo be successful as a Purchasing Agent, you should be able to critically assess suppliers, products, prices, lead times as well as any discrepancies that may arise.
