{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e1cc8fee98dcb139eb3b314d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e1cc8fee98dcb139eb3b314d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e1cc8fee98dcb139eb3b314d","title":"Junior Network Engineer","description":"Junior Network Engineer\n100% remote\nUS Citizenship is required per government contract\nMust be able to obtain Public Trust clearance (6-8 week process)\n$40-45/hr W2\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nProvide support to internal teams and Federal Agency on data networks and security solutions.\nWork with internal teams and Federal Agency to manage, troubleshoot, and monitor data solutions leveraging Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP), Switching technologies (Spanning Tree, VSS).\nConfigure Palo Alto firewalls Rules; application ID, Thread Prevention, etc.\nManage and maintain data network and systems using Cisco Product lines.\nMonitor Network performance using Solarwinds and take steps to ensure optimal performance.\nResolve issues related to Data Networks and escalate to Tier IV if required.\nImplement and troubleshoot enterprise network-related solutions, incidents, and system outages.\nRespond to escalated incidents and service requests from Delivery/Operations Teams.\nSupport and work with tools such as SNOW, Splunk, StealthWatch, AlgoSec, New Relic, SolarWinds, and others for log evaluation and monitoring.\nIdentify and perform corrective actions on network devices using smart hands, remote access tools, and vendor agreements.\nCreate and update technical and process documentation.\nCollaborate with project teams and managers effectively.\n\nRequirements:\n\n3 or more years of related experience in data networks, with emphasis in Routing Protocols (OSPF/EIGRP) and Switching Technologies (Spanning Tree, VSS).\nExperience with Cisco Prime, Solarwinds Engineers ToolSet, SecureCRT, ServiceNow.\nCisco Platforms and Adjunct Administration, Maintenance, and Installation.\nBasic understanding of configuring Firewall Rules.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nAbility and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.\nStrong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.\nExperience with major cloud providers preferred.\nPossess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Ansible, ARX, Cisco ISE, Prime, UCS, Infoblox, NexusOS, New Relic, Puppet, Riverbed, SCOM, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Splunk, StealthWatch, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.\nProfessional certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL v4 preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.\nExperience supporting Government contracts preferred.\n\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
