Lawn Care Lead Technician POSITION OVERVIEW The Lawn Care Lead Technician is an experienced lawn care worker who is able to work with minimal supervision. The position works as a member of the team and leads, directs, and motivates the crew to complete jobs within specified times and to exceed the customers’ expectations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Completes lawn care duties such as but not limited to lawn mowing, string trimming, blowing of all clippings, spring clean-ups, fall clean-ups, etc. Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets while meeting our quality standards Completes all details in electronic logs for each day’s work Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor, and customers Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed and notifies management of needed repairs Briefs supervisor and makes recommendations based on property needs and requirements or customer concerns Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to commercial Z-Turn lawn mowers, blowers, line trimmers, etc. Safely operates vehicles such as truck and trailer combinations Snow removal and ice management during the winter months KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE This position requires FIVE years experience in the lawn care field Experience as a foreman is preferred, however a very experienced laborer wishing to make the transition from crew person to foreman will be considered Strong oral and written communication skills, time management, job planning skills, problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude are a must Snow plowing experience is a plus Clean Drivers License is required, CDL is a p lus REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age Positive attitude with appreciation and excitement towards the industry Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and under seasonal pressure Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team Clean and professional appearance Punctual and dependable Reliable transportation to and from work Must have a valid driver’s license with clean DMVR and current auto insurance coverage Must have an operating smart phone Willing to work in a drug free workplace ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Typical spring through fall schedule: Monday-Friday Start Time 8:00am until route / scheduled project is completed or about 8-12 hours per day Saturday’s as required 24 hour availability during winter months for snow and ice control Paid weekly, direct deposit is required We have weekly meetings to ensure effective communication within our company and discussions on safety are a top priority Employees are considered an asset to our company and we prefer to promote within!
