Yorba Linda, CA (on-site) We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and expertise in AS9100 standards. The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system (QMS) to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with exceptional leadership skills to guide the QA team and collaborate with other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives. · Manage and maintain the AS9100-compliant QMS, ensuring adherence to all applicable aerospace standards and regulations. · Lead internal and external audits, including AS9100 certification audits, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. · Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team, including Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians. · Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team to ensure alignment with company objectives. · Identify opportunities for process improvements in manufacturing and quality operations to reduce defects and improve efficiency. · Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and customer complaints. · Oversee supplier quality processes, including supplier audits, qualification, and performance monitoring. · Collaborate with supply chain management to resolve supplier-related quality issues. · Act as the primary point of contact for customers on quality-related matters, ensuring timely and effective communication. · Manage customer quality concerns and implement corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction. · Ensure all quality documentation, including work instructions, inspection records, and control plans, are accurate and up-to-date. · Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and improvement initiatives. · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within aerospace manufacturing. · Strong expertise in AS9100 standards and experience leading AS9100 audits. · ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certifications preferred. · Experience in First Article inspection. · Experience with measurements in aerospace manufacturing. · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. · Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA. · Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
