{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"e16e5aa6d30309fab29e1d29","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e16e5aa6d30309fab29e1d29","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/e16e5aa6d30309fab29e1d29","title":"Bread Baker","description":"A Bread Baker in the Bread team needs to be highly knowledgeable in all aspects of artisanal breads: shaping, braiding, proofing, scoring, baking etc. They will work closely with the Head Baker to ensure all is produced in a timely manner and meets company standards, while maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene standards.\nDuties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include measuring and combining ingredients while using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods.\nMaintain complete knowledge of correct use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.\nCheck and follow production schedule.\nEstablish priority items for the day.\nPrepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to departmental standards.\nInform a manager of any supplies that need to be requisitioned.\nInform the General Manager of any foreseeable shortages before items run out.\nMaintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Common Bond requirements.\nMinimize waste.\nMaintain a clean and sanitary work environment.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nQualifications Maintain uphold the standard of a professional restaurant image, including kitchen cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.\nA Food Handler’s Certification where required by local and state health code regulations. /\nMust always be able to work an 8-hour shift standing up.\nFlexibility to work early morning shifts.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nExtensive experience with producing artisanal breads and many types of bread products.\nExtensive experience using various ovens, proofers, mixers, and other commercial baking equipment\nRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Creativity, culinary aptitude and a passion for working with food.\nAbility to learn quickly.\nAbility to understand and carry out oral & written instructions and request clarification if needed.\nAbility to work as part of a team and cultivate a culture of teamwork.\nAbility to build and maintain relationships.\nAbility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.\nUnderstanding of artisanal bread production.\nReports to: Head Baker, General Manager\nIn every city, village, and town the “common bond” that everyone shares is the love of good food.
