Lead Bartender $12.00/hr plus tips at Camp Creek Resort-Bark 'N Brine
Job Summary: To lead the Bar team in providing an above and beyond service experience and to ensure that all guests are served beverages and/or food in a timely, friendly and high-quality way. The lead bartender should not only lead by example but should train others and make sure that all of the bar shifts and its duties are covered.
Job Responsibilities:
Set up bar at beginning of shift
Works with Manager to develop, cost and execute cocktail, wine and beer menus
Assists Manager with inventory of beverages, ordering and maintaining par levels, maintaining cost margins, and recipe creation
Assists Manager with the scheduling of all bartenders
Leads an alcohol training topic each month at the Departmental Meeting
Ensure consistency in drink preparation to recipe
Must possess an advanced knowledge of cocktails (classic and modern) and continue to stay abreast of trends
Mentor and train fellow bartenders, barbacks and servers
Oversee freshness in product, enforcing FIFO
Maintain Safe Staff Certification, adhering to all DABT laws within
Report all maintenance issues via Alice, in a timely manner
Make sure things are clean and stocked
Pick up and count bank
Cut fruit and make purees for the bar
Stock juices and other produce
Stock cups napkins and silverware
Keep all beer and wine stocked
Keep ice wells filled
Greet all guests upon arrival
Keep bar clean and sanitized
Upsell food and beverages
Attempt to anticipate the needs of guests
Close/ break down bar and clean all workspaces and equipment.
Put all produce away ensuring it is properly stored for use the next day
Wipe/clean all bottles, wells and surfaces
Clean beer taps
Clean and maintain all frozen machines
Take trash to dumpster as needed
Brush and squeegee floors
Ensure that each bar shift is spoken for and worked
Answer any questions or inquiries from fellow team members regarding bar products or processes
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
Ability to read write and speak and communicate in basic English preferred
Two years bartending experience in a high-volume facility is preferred
Must have in person customer service experience
CPR training (can be obtained after employment)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail oriented and thorough
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service
Ability to memorize different Food & Beverage menus
Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant
Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
Knowledge of a variety of bar recipes
Ability to lead a team efficiently and effectively
