You’ll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.\n\nJOB SUMMARY:\nDesign of Avionics and Electrical Systems equipment installation on Single Engine and Citation Jet aircraft.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nPrepare engineering drawings for avionics and electrical system equipment installation using computer based drafting tools (CATIA and/or IAI HarnesSys)\n\nDesign installation of cockpit displays and controls, remote line replacement units, antennas, sensors, wire bundles and secondary support structure.\n\nPerform analyses requiring frequent application of engineering principles.\n\nAssist in preparing engineering trade studies, functional test procedures, certification reports, and other engineering documents.\n\nEDUCATION:\nPrefer completion of 60 hours while currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace).\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude\n\nMicrosoft Office applications\n\nTime management skills\n\nCritical thinking skills in order to troubleshoot\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nProfessional and diplomatic demeanor\n\nWorking knowledge of CATIA V5\n\nApplicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.\n\nSummer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.\n\nCandidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
