DescriptionProduction Supervisor – Weld & FabricationLocation: PH Palmer Hamilton – Elkhorn, WIType: Full-Time, OnsiteShift: 1st Shift — Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pmNote: Friday overtime required during peak seasonJob SummaryThe Production Supervisor – Weld & Fabrication leads all welding and fabrication operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on budget. This role oversees daily shop-floor activities, supports team development, drives continuous improvement, and maintains Palmer Hamilton’s high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily weld and fabrication operations to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.Monitor, analyze, and report production metrics and performance data.Develop and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives.Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet production demands.Ensure compliance with all safety standards; participate in audits, training, and improvement efforts.Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational issues.Supervise, coach, and develop production employees; conduct performance reviews and address personnel matters.Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices, including 5S.Maintain accurate production and labor records.Lead regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.Support the operation and maintenance of robotic welding, flat panel, and tube laser systems.Promote Palmer Hamilton’s values of integrity, collaboration, and quality.Perform other duties as required to support plant operations.Work EnvironmentThis role primarily operates on the manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, welding activities, heat, and noise. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.RequirementsQualificationsEducation & Experience7–10 years of manufacturing floor experience in MIG welding and fabrication.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with robotic welding, flat panel systems, and tube laser equipment.Technical SkillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with computer-integrated manufacturing/ERP systems.Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.Ability to analyze production data and implement data-driven solutions.Leadership SkillsStrong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse teams.Effective organizational and problem-solving abilities.Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and professional integrity.
