Bakery Manager JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Associate enters orders, schedules work/production, supervises and trains Associates, receives/stores/stocks items, checks dates, changes pricing of items going out of code and does all department tasks as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Promptly, at the start of the shift, the employee will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties. The Associate enters orders, schedules work/production, supervises and trains Associates, receives/stores/stocks items, checks dates, changes pricing of items going out of code and does all department tasks as needed. The Associate assembles and mixes ingredients, places mix on trays, puts trays in racks, pushes racks to oven, bakes goods. The Associate packages/wraps baked goods, prints labels, labels baked goods, cleans display cases and puts fresh goods into cases. The Associate cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, and all floors and counters. Pull static: 20 lb. JOB TASKS: Task 1. The Associate enters orders, schedules work/production, supervises and trains Associates, checks dates, performs product markdowns and loss tracking and does all department tasks as needed. Task 2. The Associate pushes/pulls a U boat cart to receiving, loads the cart with cartons and containers, and pushes the cart to the Department. Task 3. The Associate unloads and stores cartons, cases, and bags of ingredients and other supplies. Task 4. The Associate uses utensils, containers, power mixers to make up mixes, puts mix on trays, slides trays onto baking packs. Task 5. The Associate pushes the carts into the oven and starts the baking process. Task 6. The Associate removes the carts from the oven, removes each tray from cart, removes baked goods from each tray, boxes/packages goods, prints and applies labels, and puts goods into clean display cases. Task 7. The Associate uses wipes, brooms, hoses, squeegees, mop/pail, cleaners and sanitizers to clean, wash, rinse, and sanitize implements, equipment, cases, floors, and counters. Task 8. The Associate waits on customers. Task 9. The Associate performs record keeping functions as assigned. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with Company policies and safety regulations. Must be 18 years of age. Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days. Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position. Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job. Must be able to perform all job functions safely. Must meet the company performance standards for the job. Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training (this is a job specific requirement). Must have keyboarding skills.
