They are also responsible for the proper use of packaging equipment, the preventive maintenance, and housekeeping of the equipment and the area.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nGood oral /written communication skills\nMechanical aptitude\nComputing skills\nAbility to work as a team member\nSelf-motivated and the ability to plan ahead\nEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.\nCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nHave the ability to verify customer requirements by reviewing the Setup\nHaving the ability to identify Exception codes and use the proper packing supplies\nMust be able to print labels at the Packaging Station and how to verify the roll data for each finished roll coming off the conveyors\nDemonstrate the basic troubleshooting of conveying systems\nOperate the packaging crane in a safe and controlled manner\nEnter data into the computer at the Packing Station and at the Stretch-Wrapping Station\nDemonstrate the basics of and be able to operate the Stretch-Wrapper in both Automatic and Manual\nMust be able to weigh the finished pallet and to properly apply label to pallet verifying data\nMaintain good housekeeping and safe working environment\nInteract and communicate with fellow packers, production supervisor, lead technician, and slitting technicians as required\nAbility to operate a forklift and to stack material using a forklift\nDemonstrate the ability to use the clamp truck\nAssist in any function of the Slitting Department as requested by your lead operator and/or supervisor\nWORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:\n\nManufacturing Environment\nAbility to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)\nLoud noise\nInteplast Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
