Position Type: Non- ExemptPosition Hours: Full-time; Monday Friday; 40 Hours per WeekReports to: Campus PrincipalLength of Term/Employment: 205 workdays / At-WillPosition MissionThe role of the LPAC Clerk is to provide secretarial and clerical support for all state and federalrequirements for the Bilingual/ESL Program at their designated campus(es). The LPAC clerkwill be responsible for maintaining accurate records of students, using LPAC software, TELPASassessments, and other available tools and resources approved by the district.Position Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years experience and knowledge of Bilingual/ESL programs. Knowledge of Bilingual/ESL compliance requirements Experience and knowledge of Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC)procedures and the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS)assessment. Skilled in data entry, filing, telephone, and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.Job Duties Program ManagementAssist with all compliance with the LPAC requirements set forth by the state forthe designated campus.Conduct and implement ongoing identification/re-classification assessment ofstudent achievement through formal and informal testing required for all EBs.Coordinate with the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS)staff for the accuracy of the code assigned to each student.Maintain accurate and current records of student services offered to EmergentBilingual students.Maintain accurate and current inventory of additional resources purchasedthrough Bilingual funds (such as instructional kits, headphones, computers(COWs, and equipment).Maintain accurate and complete documentation for the Bilingual tutorials andSummer School, as applicable to their assigned campus(es).Attend all Bilingual/ESL District meetings and huddles.Perform other duties as assigned Communication:Establish and maintain open communication with students, teachers, campusadministrators, and directors.Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, teachers, andadministrators.Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly. Professional Growth and Development:Attend all required training for Bilingual/ESL programs.Adhere to the staff dress code.Maintain a good working relationship with Jubilee Academies' staff and parents.Charter Morale Foster a positive, inclusive environment where staff, students, and families feel valuedand supported. Frequent district-wide travel.
