Manufacturing Project Coordinator

Job Description- Manufacturing Project Coordinator Job Duties: Establish and manage technology & planning functions. This includes: Manage paper product line communication: paper and mill gride; used for estimating, product comparison and justification. Be able to convert SBS, SUS, & CUK users to engineered product lines. Establish and manage roll/stock sheet size product inventory program: demonstrate thorough knowledge of upcoming applications and historical information on existing applications, which products to purchase in roll form and utilize for immediate need applications, and convert existing applications to utilize this program. Become expert on Equinox technology: a 6 six-color process technology for printing Pantone colors. Become involved with structural design of new and copycat projects to ensure drawings are designed to match material supply of raw materials. Become involved with tooling design and provide follow-up to ensure tooling is received in a timely manner. Develop expert knowledge with outsourcing responsibilities which include foil, windowing, and complex gluing and die-cutting when needed. Learn the paperboard market in terms of grades and product types: SBS, SUS, CUK, GC1, FBB, and CRB. Make recommendations based on application needs. Become involved in color management requirements, which include but are not limited to ink preparation, establishing formulations, mixing ink, producing samples and evaluating color fidelity using a spectrophotometer. Become involved with production planning. This includes: - Coordinating production workflow for one or more multiple products within printing/die-cutting/finishing equipment in offset printing company. -Coordinating workflow for subcontracting work related to production. -Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay for both internal manufacturing process and subcontracted goods and services.
