Seasonal Material Handler - Commercial Construction

The Seasonal Material Handler supports the team by receiving, organizing, staging, and distributing materials needed for projects. This is a temporary, seasonal position primarily for Summer 2026, with potential for extended or full-time opportunities based on performance and business needs. This role is critical to maintaining job site efficiency and ensuring crews have the right materials at the right time. Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming roofing materialsOrganize and maintain inventory in the warehouse and job sitesStage and prepare materials for daily job site needsLoad and unload materials from delivery trucks safely and efficientlyTransport materials to and from job sites as neededSafely operate company vehicles and pull trailers up to 20 feet in lengthEnsure proper storage and handling to prevent damage or lossAssist roofing crews with material distribution on-siteMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas (warehouse and job sites)Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepanciesFollow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines QualificationsExperience in pulling and maneuvering trailers up to 20 feet requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in construction, warehouse, or material handling (roofing experience a plus)Basic knowledge of construction or roofing materials preferredAbility to operate forklifts or willingness to be trainedValid driver's license and clean driving record requiredAbility to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and work in outdoor conditionsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical RequirementsFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy materialsStanding, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periodsAbility to work at heights and in varying weather conditions Work EnvironmentCombination of warehouse and active construction job sitesExposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)Fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment Compensation & Employment TermsHourly, non-exempt positionThis is a seasonal role and is not eligible for company benefitsPotential for continued employment based on performance and business needs
