The Floor Tech position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. Responsibilities Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment Waxing floors, stripping floors, polishing floors, buffing floors and shampoo carpets Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order Miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older 1-year of floor cleaning is recommended Have valid driver's license along with reliable transportation to get to and from work. Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and drug screen including marijuana A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Summary As a Floor Tech specializing in carpet shampooing, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors through tasks such as cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning. With relevant experience in janitorial and custodial services, as well as commercial cleaning, you will bring valuable expertise to our team.
