Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant. Works in a professional manner with other processing technicians and maintenance personnel as needed to keep all equipment in top working order, resulting in only quality product being released to the customer. Performs various other duties as assigned. Troubleshoots minor machine issues. Discerns molding issues from machinery or process issues. Records accurate production data necessary for tracking purposes. Develops corrective actions for machine/molding issues. Tracks downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency. Trains personnel to improve technical capabilities and experience. Evaluates the quality of products from newly set‐up machines. Monitors production process. Responds to reported machine/mold issues. Starts up and shuts down molding machines as necessary. Performs material and color changes in a proficient manner. Communicates all changes and all important information to the Manager or Supervisor. Ensures all system performances are optimized and running safely. Works with/relieves assembly line operators as needed to meet production requirements. Follows and enforces all Environment, Health and Safety, ISO, Food Safety and cGMP policies and procedures. Mechanical inclination – has a mechanical mindset. Educational, Skill, & Physical Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior plastic injection molding experience is highly preferred. Possesses or obtains a technical understanding of injection‐molding processes and procedures. Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Has good hand‐eye coordination. Frequently required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently exposed to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to bump cap, safety eyewear or prescription safety eyewear, safety shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing protection and disposable mask. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Good communication skills—verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers. Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self‐starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast‐paced, performance‐driven environment. Good attention to detail and problem‐solving skills. Ability to work as a cross‐functional team member.
